The Rundown: Aliens have landed on planet Earth and have immediately died, except for one.

Lily and Winter are getting ready for school on a momentous day in history. As they prepare to leave, all over the world little grey aliens appear on the ground and almost immediately die. As the news is covering the event from all over the world, the kid’s grandfather TJ discovers a dying alien in his retirement home closet.
After performing CPR on the creature, he manages to save it and reveal its existence to his grandkids. As life continues, TJ begins to teach the alien how to communicate. When Lily and Winter come to tell TJ what people are doing with the alien bodies, they all decide to keep the live one a secret as the being itself tries to communicate something strange to the humans.
The Story: Soma crafts an interesting and entertaining premise in this first issue. The story starts with an interesting mystery and commits to it brilliantly as the characters and the world try to wrap their collective minds around what is happening and why. I like that the alien is almost secondary to the impact the reveal is having on society and the characters make for an engaging read.
The Art: Broglia delivers some great art throughout the issue. The visuals are fun and stylish. I really love the classic design of the alien and the final page of the issue was a great visual reveal.
